Upcoming Events

We invite you to help our school by sponsoring the children in Desert Mountain’s Fourth annual Walk-a-thon.  100% of the proceeds from this great event will go back into our school to use towards field trips, technology, shade structures, playground equipment and more!  Last year’s walk-a-thon was a huge success, raising over $10,000.

All of the children at DME will be given the opportunity to walk the field with their grade on Friday, February 24th.  Children can ask for pledges from family, friends and neighbors to sponsor them with a flat donation for their efforts.  Online pledges can be made for those far away relatives – visit www.dmepto.com.   We do not encourage door to door solicitation and encourage parents to have their children do only what they are comfortable with.

The day of the walk-a-thon will be a blast!!  Coach will be our DJ for the day.  He will have some great music to get the kids pumped up!  Parents are encouraged to come & support the children from the parent cheering section.  Water & a treat will be provided to all participants and lunches that day will be eaten outside to further show support!

Prizes are essential to a successful fundraiser & this year they are awesome!
•  Raise $25 and earn a Walk-a-Thon t-shirt!
•  After you receive you Walk-a-Thon t-shirt you begin earning Coyote Bucks to be used in our Operation WALK Store to purchase your prize.  You will be able to select from many different prizes to get the items you like best.

There will be 3 Grand Prize Winners for each grade!! The top winner will be the student from each grade level that earns the most money in donations for the Walk-a-Thon.  In addition the boy and girl from each grade level that walks the most laps and collects a minimum of a $25 donation will be eligible to receive a grand prize.
